You can put it in limited network mode, completely closed, all open, At the bottom right of the UI you can either click on "browse for a program that you want to block" or you can click on "click on the window of a program you want to block" and then simply touch the window of studio 1 which will be blocked. I'm not even talking about unwanted updates and all that hassle from both vsts, daws and OS.Ĭlick to expand. You have for example windows firewall control ( ) which in itself isn't a firewall but it allows you to easilly access in one neat interface all the advanced functions of windows firewall which is great but hidden deep inside windows, even as a freebie (you can give whatever you want to unlock the full thing which basicely just adds a few notifications, I bought it just to help the dev, there is enought with the free version) you can handpick applications, what they can access.Etc. You'll have to configure your ipad to connect to the ip of your computer. The safest is still to unplug your cable, but if you know how to tweak a firewall you can very tightly close any of the many openings to the outside world while still having possibilities on your local network. I'm not even talking about unwanted updates and all that hassle from both vsts, daws and yes I have access to all my connected devices on my local network (included wifi connected devices) from my offline computer, you just have to allow it on your local network while closing port 80 and 443 for internet so that it doesn't go online.

Not problems with software companies knocking on my door, technical problems. I never have a problem offline, I do online, legit or not. Not only is it impossible to know exactly what type of infos is sent and where, but it creates troubles with one of my daw (samplitude), whom main process kept running in the background after I closed it (with its load in CPU and memory going on and its connection to my audio interface maintained). All that behavior stopped once I blocked my computer from the outside world and those bloody weird connections stopped. For example Metric halo bundle (I used the one from the sister site before going legit, but both have the same behavior) connects on a remote internet adress as soon as you launch any of them in your daw.
